Member-to-Member Business

Our award for Entrepreneurial Spirit goes to Ritu Saheb

Zaha Hadid once said that architecture doesn't have to be so difficult, but even after 30 years, it seems like it still is. That is something, Ritu Saheb, is on a mission to change.

As an architect, founder, and serial entrepreneur in India and New York, Ritu is all about making a difference. Her firm, Saheb Architecture, focuses on breathing new life into old buildings, whether they're apartment buildings or institutions. In 2021-22, during COVID, she managed to put 30 redesigned apartments back on the market to help with New York’s housing crisis. Her firm has revived the historic Union Temple Community Center at Grand Army Plaza, making it a hub for the community once more. She helped Amazon operate from the former Bulova Watch warehouse in Queens, which proved to be a lifesaver for New Yorkers during the pandemic.

When Ritu is not designing or building, she is writing for AIER- American Institute of Economic Research, on architecture, real estate, and regulations, all in the hope of making our beloved New York a better place to live and work in.

Ritu's story with Saheb Architecture is a testament to her unwavering commitment to enhancing New York's built environment and her influential role in architecture and real estate.

Congratulations Ritu!

Our award for Member-to-Member Business goes to Camille Renshaw.

Camille Renshaw is a CRE pioneer and the CEO and co-founder of B+E, the first tech-driven brokerage and trading platform for net lease real estate. Launched in December 2017, they now have offices in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Tampa, Charlotte, Dallas, Orange County and San Francisco.

As a longstanding CREW New York member, Camille served on the board of directors from 2015-2017 and is currently on the CREW Network Global Board of Directors. A big part of this role is to encourage dealmaking, member-to-member deals, and entrepreneurship - so this award is especially impactful!

Her commitment to helping other CREWNY members in advancing the success of women in commercial real estate has been particularly noteworthy over the last 18 months. To name a few of these efforts:

• Robin Fisher is a shareholder in B+E, and Camille is a shareholder in the company she founded, Blace.com.

• Julia Rocco and Camille bought (and now own) a car wash investment property together.

• Amit Egan Datwani and Camille successfully collaborated on 3 sales for a high net worth family: a Wendy’s restaurant, a PNC Bank, and a Starbucks.

CREW New York Members should know that Camille has made literally millions through her CREW connections, and we all can too!
