Who had the most influence on you growing up, and why?
My father definitely did. He arrived in this country at the age of 10 without knowing a word of English but absolutely loved this country and all the opportunities it provides. He always said, time and again, when I would list all the reasons why I couldn't do something or something would never work, to stop thinking that way. Rather, if something is really important, think of all the reasons why you can do it and why it could work (even if there are not that many at first). The more you are in the habit of thinking like that, the more you will be able to think outside the box and accomplish a lot of great things.

What are some of your tips/tricks for generating business?
Always show up and always respond. Clients appreciate when you show them their matters are important and timely. In real estate, time kills all deals and so swiftness (but with appropriate consideration and strategy) is key. It is important to be able to put yourself in their shoes and work as if you are part of their organization: what worries them should worry you and they will appreciate if you act as a team and make them succeed in their transactions.

How has CREWNY provided value to you?
Although many real estate professional organizations exist, many tend to have a few events in which thousands attend and it is difficult to make lasting connections on the spot. CREWNY is very thoughtful in having many educational and social events each month that are attended by manageable numbers of professionals so that it is relatively easy to remember folks that attend frequently, so while you are brushing up on the latest CRE developments, you can also meet some new people. I've made a number of connections over the years and have gotten referrals from folks for actual transactions.
